The memory of Mildred Anne Jones of Cape Coral, Florida, born in Sims, Illinois, who passed away on April 23, 2024 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by : her parents, Alfred Baker and Vera Baker (Robertson); her siblings, James Layton Baker and Helen Lorraine Tripp; her parents-in-law, Orville Ray Jones and Nora Christine Minor (Estel "Peck" Minor); and her siblings-in-law, Doris Baker and Sidney Tripp.

She is survived by : her husband John Orville Jones; her children, Natalie (Robert Potochney) and Aaron (Kimberly Jones); her grandchildren, Rob, Jessica Potochney of Crawfordville, Eric, Christy Potochney of Lake Wales, Kirstie, Matt Hooten of Fort Worth, Karin, John Pace of Woodlawn, Kamillia and Isaac Lowery of Bluford, Illinois; her siblings, Caroline, Charles Johnson of Morris, Homer Baker of Mount Vernon, Rhonda and Danny West of Oakland, Illinois; and her sister-in-law Kay (Jim Ellis). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hughey Funeral Home (1314 Main St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens (6449 IL-15, Woodlawn, IL 62898).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mimi 's honor to a charity of the donor's choice.
