He was predeceased by : his wife Shirley Singleton Benauer; and his son John Edward Benauer. He is survived by : his brothers, Jimmy Bernauer and Kenny Bernauer; and his sons, Randy Benauer, Greg Benauer and David Benauer. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
