Though Sarah Margaret may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sarah Margaret touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mardis S. Bass and Ora Lee Sheffield Bass; her son Lesley Finch; her daughter-in-law Linda Finch; and her grandson Robert Beare.
She is survived by: her children, James Finch of Tallahassee, FL, Dennis Lee Finch (Terri) of Ocala, FL, Margaret Graham (David) of Ashford, AL, Faye Brant (Chris) of Marianna, FL and Lee Helms (Howard) of Chipley, FL; and her close friend Wanda Finch. She is also survived by 14 grandkids.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Obert Funeral Home Chapel (731 Kirkland Rd, Chipley, FL 32428). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
