He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Alvin Sirmons and Mary Alice Sirmons; his wife Kathy Sirmons of Citrus Springs, FL; his children, Doug Sirmons (Tiu) of Virginia Beach, VA, Lisa Rochard (Steve) of Williamsburg, VA, Sheryl McCarty (Darren) of Royal Oak, MI and Leslie Sirmons of Otoka, TN; his stepchildren, Amy Sanders of Sullivan, IL and David Sanders (Charity) of Rhode Island; and his sister Nancy Sirmons. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
