He is survived by: his wife Lorene Wimberly; his children, Patti Russell (Jim) and Mike Wimberly (Chris); his grandchildren, Sara Nicole Wimberly and Andrew Wimberly (Shannon); his great grandchildren, Sophia Wimberly and Aubrey Wimberly; and his sister Virginia Griffith (Butch).
