He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Maurice Skinner and Helen Harlan Skinner; and his sister Delores Skinner Stanley. He is survived by: his wife Nellie Gilbert Skinner; his children, Valerie McLaughlin and Bernard Skinner; his goddaughter Katrinia Stakley Hamilton (William); his grandchildren, Javaris Skinner, Chaunitra Skinner, Brandon McLaughlin and Heleana McLaughlin (Robert Stromas, III); his sister-in-law Tommyne James (Elbert); and his close friend Charlie Bell. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the Macedonia M. B. Church (717 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Panama City, FL 32401).
