He is survived by: his wife Betty Carpenter; his daughters, Tammy Taylor (Don) and Renae Weeks (Oliff); and his siblings, Charles Carpenter, Wilma Lemons, Carol Thames and Brenda Waire. He is also survived by three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
