He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Jorge Rutzebeck and Nellie Rutzebeck (Bailey); his wife Kathleen Pearl Rutzebeck (Phillips); his sons, Steven (Sharon Rutzebeck), Michael (Pam Rutzebeck) and Norman; and his wife Jennie Rutzebeck. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
