He was predeceased by : his parents, B. Noel Poling and Evelyn Marie Harpold Poling; and his grandparents, James Benjamin, Ada Ernestine Poling, James Albert and Blanche Marie Harpold.

He is survived by : his wife Melissa Elizabeth Hilliard Poling; his children, Sida Lee Hyde (Andrew) of Wakefield, RI, Erica Leann Poling of Beverly Hills, FL and Robert Stephen Poling of Crystal River, FL.; his grandchildren, Willa Kate, Calla Claire, Weston James Hyde of Wakefield, RI and Eliza Marie Poling of Beverly Hills, FL.; and his siblings, Michael Noel Poling of Ripley, WV, Shirl Ann Baggett of Canton, GA, Jennifer Leigh Orme (Steve) of Hutto, TX and Stephen B. Poling (Shirley) of Ripley, WV.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or your local Hospice.
