He was predeceased by : his mother Flossie Ethel Goodwin; his stepmother Bonnie Goodwin; his siblings, Carl Goodwin, Nathaniel Goodwin, Bobby Goodwin and Melvina Corbit; his son Curtis Harold "Shunny" Goodwin, Jr.; and his parent Charlie Beaver Goodwin.

He is survived by : his wife Marenda Fowler Goodwin; his sister Nadine Goodwin Voigt of Lakeland, FL; his daughter-in-law Betty Gay (Benny) of Dothan, AL; his grandchildren, Kristi Goodwin Ross (Richard) of Murfreesboro, TN, Curtis Bryant Goodwin of Live Oak, FL, Angela Goodwin Jones (Patrick) of Dothan, AL, Ben Gay (Sarah) of Auburn, AL, Kendall Williford (Marvin) of Florala, AL and Spencer Gay (Emily) of Hoover, AL; and his great grandchildren, Austin, Wynston Franklin, Eli, Aubrey, Lucas Jones, Lydia, Naomi, Anna Gay, Tyler and Heath Williford.
