It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Nelson (Defuniak Springs, Florida), born in Arden, North Carolina, who passed away on April 2, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Oscar and Roberta Farmer Nelson; the mother of his children Elizabeth Newman Nelson; and his brothers, Bob, Ralph, Kerm and Jesse Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Wynema Upchurch Nelson of DeFuniak Springs, FL; his children, Randy Nelson (Charra) of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Jeffery Nelson and Renee Nelson of Asheville; his sister Patty N. Case of Arden; and his grandchildren, Chris Nelson, Joshua Nelson and Stephanie N. Callahan. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
