He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frank Hall and Annie Dora Hall. He is survived by: his wife Effie Nelson; his children, Sharon Hall, Mary, Dianna and David Nelson, Sr.; his grandchildren, David Nelson, Jr., Summer Madrid, Shelbie Madrid, Joseph McKenzie, Jacob Nelson (Jaden) and Levi Nelson; and his great grandchild Zayden Madrid. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Davis-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel (1474 FL-83, Defuniak Springs, FL 32433). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
