With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James A Greathouse Sr. of Defuniak Springs, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 31, 2025 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his mother Martha Jean Hartzog Greathouse; and his brothers, William Greathouse and Howard Greathouse. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Greathouse of DeFuniak Springs; his children, James Greathouse Jr. (Catherine) of Baker, David Greathouse of DeFuniak Springs and Diane Withrow (Matt) of DeFuniak Springs; his brother Michael D. Greathouse of Panama City; his daughters, Rebecca Fisher of DeFuniak Springs, Jessica Brooks of DeFuniak Springs and Natalie Anderson of DeFuniak Springs; his grandchildren, Matthew Greathouse (Jasmine), Emilie Greathouse, Ryan Graves, Haley Withrow, Brianna Withrow, Autumn Withrow, Haleigh Withrow, Mathew B. Withrow, Roen Greathouse, Angela Withrow, Logan Withrow, Aiden Withrow, Noah Withrow, Madilyn Withrow, Liam Garner, Kehlani Garner and Skylar Garner; and his great grandchildren, Sylvi Greathouse and Everleigh Maneval. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews he loved.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel (230 Park Ave, Defuniak Springs, FL 32435). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
