He is survived by: his parents, Jessie Carter, Sr. and Sue Carter of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his wife Pat Whiddon Carter of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his daughter Jessica Laird (Eric) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his brother Blon Edward Carter (Sandra) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his brothers-in-law, Mike Whiddon (Michelle) and Kenneth Whiddon; his sister Cathy Lynne Carter of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; and his grandsons, Mason Elijah Laird and Noah Aubrey Laird.
