She is survived by: her children, Pamela Zirpoli (Perry) of Nutley, Richard (Debbie) of Mt. Juliet, Gregory of Unionville, Robert (Dana) of Colonia and John of St. Petersburg; and her siblings, Gail of Falls Church and John of Unionville, Connecticut.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.

“So very sorry for your loss. Joan was an exceptional warm and giving person. We were so lucky to have her in our lives. From day one you met her you felt you knew this person all your life. She will be missed every day will miss talking to her and the questions she asked. Many times we talked we would remember things the four of us did. Especially the Restaurants we went to. Will miss her saying "WHO CARES". So many good times we have to remember. "Rest in Peace" my dear friend love you.”
