He was predeceased by: his spouse Chana Garnek; and his brothers, Joseph Garnek, Israel Garnek, Bernard Garnek and Charles Garnek.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Mermelstein (Moshe) and Lisa Sabo (David); his grandchildren, Ari Cohen (Lisa), Ronit Hanono (Marc), Ilan Cohen (Jennifer), Talia Raciti (Frankie), Jennifer Kuba and Adored; and his great grandchildren, Max, Sam, Zack, Jordana, Chloe, Sophia, David, Brandon, Dylan and Danyel.
