He was predeceased by : his parents, Gonsalo Mendez and Teresa Bonilla. He is survived by : his wife Lourdes Bonilla; his children, Sonia Bonilla, Rosa Bonilla, Dora Luz Bonilla, Jenny Bonilla, Carlos Bonilla, Oscar Bonilla, Cesar Bonilla and Noemi Bonilla; and his pets, Layla and La Nina. He is also survived by his 32 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
