It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Mooney of Destin, Florida, who passed away on November 28, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ruth Barton Mooney and William Q. Mooney. He is survived by : his wife Marlene; his sons, Brian R. Mooney (Sarah) of Simpsonville, SC and Gregory K. Mooney (Laura) of Charleston, TN; his siblings, William P. Mooney (Elaine) of Long Beach, NY., David B. Mooney of Bridgewater, CT and Ruth Marie McCurry (Kenneth) of Burnsville, NC; and his granddaughters, Liz Mooney of Dallas, TX, Katie Mooney of Clemson, SC, Lilly Mooney of Knoxville, TN and Grace Mooney of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
