With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas A. La Chapelle (Dunedin, Florida), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 14, 2019 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleva Chapelle and A. G. Leigh La Chapelle; and his sister Dorothy Graves. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his brother George La Chapelle (Barbara); his daughters, Donna Sanders (Rocky), Joyce La Chapelle, Laura Trombley (David) and Kathy La Chapelle-Goley (John Goley); his grandchildren, Kory, Michael, Rebekah, Brett Trombley, Clifford, Zachary Sanders, Kaitlyn, Kyleigh Goley and Cassandre Stone (Sean); and his great grandchildren, Cooper and Emme Stone.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to Disabled Veterans of America.
