He is survived by: his brother Robert; his wife Sandra Elizabeth Thoresen (Silk); his children, David Paul Thoresen (Paula) of Woodbridge, Wendy Suzanne Day (Wayne) of Brentwood and Karen Elizabeth Lawson (Steve) of Fernandina Beach, Florida.; his grandchildren, Katherine Marrow (Adam), Kimberley Willemann (Thomas), Cameron Day (Angie), Paul Day, Rebecca Daigle (Alan) and Bradley Lawson; and his great grandchildren, Zoe, Luke Street, Jaxon, Aiden Daigle, Ryleigh, Reagan Willemann and Kyrie Geary.
The surrounding farms and woods would serve as comfortable memories throughout his life and especially in the late years as he struggled with Alzheimer's. Paul played the trumpet in the school band and later with the Fort Dix Army band.
