She was predeceased by: her parents, Erich Opitz and Hedwig Feige; her husband Robert Barnes; and her siblings, Karl Opitz and Renate Kiendl.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Barnes and Patricia Loux (Daniel). She is also survived by six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Magnolia Cemetery in Orange Park.
After moving a number of times in the US, Heideliese worked for charitable organizations, including Foundation for Christian Living in Pawling, NY where she was the assistant book review editor and Save the Children in Westport, CT.
