He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gardella and Madeleine Gardella. He is survived by: his wife Linda Beltz of Illinois; his brother Russell Roger; and his siblings-in-law, James Ronald Jr. (Karen), Russell Craig (Nancy), John Richard (Jessica), Patrick Stephen (Carol) and David Matthew (Mona). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
