Richard Stickrod Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Stickrod of Fleming Island, Florida, born in Evanston, Illinois, who passed away on March 25, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Stickrod and Pearl Stickrod (Blaker); his sister Linda Irene; and his aunt Kay Wilson (James). He is survived by: his sister Jo Anne Nash (John) of Elk Grove, CA; his children, Kim Eckhardt (Tom) of Fleming Island and Bob Stickrod of Fleming Island; his grandchildren, Doug Eckhardt (Stephanie) of Alpharetta, GA, Chrissie Gallentine (Nathan) of Atlanta, GA, Greg Eckhardt (Tessa) of Chattanooga, TN, Kate Harlan (Ryan) of Atlanta and Jessie Stickrod of Seattle, WA; his great grandchildren, Emily, Sadie Eckhardt, Naya, Eden, Rhys Gallentine, Ben Eckhardt and Rory Harlan; and also Miss Sadie Rafferty. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces, and countless friends.
A prolific emailer and "keeper of the flame" for several online pet projects and friend groups, Dick continued reaching out to people all the way into the pandemic, including Evanston High School, B-Company and Tenth Mountain Division alumni.
