He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Sturdivant; his parents, Curtis Sturdivant and Ruth Sturdivant; his son Curtis Sturdivant; his siblings, Alvin Sturdivant and Mary Whitaker; and his grandchildren, Greg Queen and Jennifer Queen.
He is survived by: his children, Walter Sturdivant, Lynn Queen and Lori; his son-in-law Sam Underwood; and his brother Harry Childers. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
