He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Goff Porges; his children, Robert Sherrill Porges Jr. (Mary), Susan (Bruce Feiring), Sharon Street (George Cuje) and Theodore Porges; his grandchildren, Christopher, Vanessa Porges, Clifford, Lisa Feiring, Sean, Ashley Feiring, Dominic Salamone, Matthew, Margaret Feiring, Allyson, Ryan Goolabsingh, Marjorie, Peter Weil, Kevin Street, Veronica Porges, Daniel Wickman and Bob; his great grandchildren, Sapphire, Jaden, Katharine, Henry, Olivia, Bobby, August and Anna Jane; and his nieces and nephews, Gretchen, Heidi, Rick, Peggy and Stevie. He is also survived by his children's and grandchildren's friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Clean Ocean Action, an organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the marine environment.
