She is survived by: her husband Richard James Shepard; her sister Teresa; and her sister-in-law Pam Davis of Pickens, SC.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harvey-Engelhardt Funeral and Cremation Services (1600 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions to be made in Carolyn's honor to Buck Creek Baptist Church, 181 Buck Creek Church Rd, Highlands, NC 28741, her beloved childhood church and a foundation of her faith.
