It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gayle Patricia Gdovin of Fort Myers, Florida, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gayle had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Gayle may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Schrimmel and Margaret Schrimmel (Brown Grimes). She is survived by: her children, Michelle Papp (PJ) and Stephen Gdovin III; and her grandchildren, Lauren Chisholm (Katie), Jordan Levy (Michael), Matthew Jaenicke, Daniel Papp (Sarah) and Joshua Papp.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church (1922 SW 20th Ave, Cape Coral, FL 33991).
