It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John F. Abitz of Fort Myers, Florida, who passed away on August 3, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry John's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May John's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fred Abitz and Lydia Abitz; his wife Susan Abitz (Leet); his children, Joshua Ivey Abitz (Cynthia) and Karen Jesina (Ken); and his grandchildren, Lydia, Anabel and Ian Heinig.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM.
