It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Vincent Basie Jr. of Fort Myers, Florida, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte; his children, Michael, Christopher and Jennifer; and his brother Thomas Basie. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
