He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mahurt and Willa Mahurt; and his nephew Spencer Mahurt. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Fleming Mahurt; his daughter Darcy; his son-in-law Duncan Morel of Erie, CO; his son Matthew; his daughter-in-law Kristen Mahurt of Fort Myers, FL.; his sister Tracy; his brother-in-law Kevin Butler of Fairfax, VA; his brother James; his sister-in-law Charlotte Mahurt of Carollton, TX.; his grandchildren, Sawyer, Cruz Morel, Selah and Sasha Mahurt; and his nieces and nephews, Emily Carter, Eric Carter, Joe Slappy, Aminah Butler and Logan Mahurt. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
