He was predeceased by: his parents, Berthold Bertges and Gwendolyn Bertges (Whitner). He is survived by: his siblings, Darlene and Lyndia; his wife Ginny Maxwell; and his children, Pamela Pagliai, Holly Inboden, Thomas Bertges (Tommy), Angela Atwood, Julie Braun, Kimberly Thomas (Kim), Amy Duffy, Kelly Miller and Emerald Heinritz (Emma). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
