“I have fond memories of being with Verna and Howard at their Maryland home when I lived in Washington. Verna also made a few pictures of animals for me to hang in Danny's room when he was a baby. When Richard and I moved to Trumbull, Verna introduced us to friends who had moved here from their synagogue in Ohio. They became our first friends here. Verna was warm, welcoming and very kind. In later years, she sent beautiful hand made cards. She was a special person. Marjorie Freeman”
