He was predeceased by: his brother Thomas; his wife Paula; his children, Edward Canterbury (Tania) and Lyn Pfordresher (Pete); his grandchildren, Emma Pfordresher, Paul Pfordresher and Liam Edward Canterbury; and his sisters, Ann Canterbury and Helen Westneat (Dave).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the St. Sebastian Choir.
