With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Phyllis Merritt (Fort Walton Beach, Florida), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Phyllis left this world on August 3, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Merritt and Willie Greene Merritt of Elizabethton, Tennessee.; her sisters, Darriel (Lewis Christoffel) and Earline (William Taylor); her nephew William Taylor, Jr.; and her close friend Anne Folsom.
She is survived by: her sibling's children, Steve, Wanda Taylor, Jeff, Sandi Taylor, Jeanne, Nick Orach, Sandy, Barry Edgerton and Lew Christoffel; and her family Anne Folsom.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Walton Beach (134 Beal Pkwy SW, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548).
