It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Allen Fannin of Freeport, Florida, born in Defuniak Springs, Florida, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, W. C. Fannin and Ina Mae McCormick Fannin; his brothers, Bill and Cleve Fannin; and his uncle Guy Fannin.

He is survived by : his wife Rachel L Fannin of Freeport, Florida; his children, Jimmy Fannin (Jennifer) and Denise Rodgers (Bobby); his stepchildren, Dewayne Sewell (Princess Joy) of Colorado, Bubba Sewell of Troy Alabama, Heath Sewell (Jackie) of Colorado and Shane Currie (Callie) of Troy, Alabama.; and his siblings, Roger Fannin (Geraldine Fannin) of DeFuniak Springs, Paul Fannin (Michelle) of Freeport, Gayle Cobb (Harmon) of Anniston and Rhonda Westphal (Keith) of Tallahassee. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home (150 FL-20, Freeport, FL 32439). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Flowers are being accepted or the family asks that donations be made to Freeport High School Athletics at 3030 State Highway 20 Freeport, FL 32439.
