He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ollie Vanzant and Helen Blake Vanzant. He is survived by: his siblings, Louise Vanzant Yawn (Gary Yawn), Grady James Vanzant (Barbara Clarke Vanzant) and Lonnie Jackson Vanzant (Tina Crews Vanzant); his niece Leslie Yawn McCullough (Matthew McCullough); and his great-nephews, Matthis and Memphis McCullough.
