He is survived by: his wife Melody Powell Padgett of Hilliard, FL; his children, Elaine Starling (Gary) of Macclenny, FL, Lori Royal of Macclenny, FL, Kayla Padgett of Hilliard, FL and Gerald Padgett of Hilliard, FL; and his siblings, Azie Lee Allhart of Jesup, GA, Norma Lee Finley of Starke, FL, Miriam Padgett of Folkston, GA, Linda Hall (Darrell) of Jesup, GA and Larry Padgett (Louise) of Folkston, GA. He is also survived by great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
