She was predeceased by : her parents, Captain James and Barbara Hinds (Brown); her husband Jerry Bright; her son Garth Matson; her grandson Steven Matson; her sister-in-law Patsy Hinds; and her brother Bob Bowne.

She is survived by : her children, Theresa Negele (Joe) of Branch, Michigan, Robin Bogus-Strange (Jimmy) of Branch, Todd Matson (Jill) of Oakwood, IL and Jimmy Hughes of Freeland, Michigan; her stepson Jim Bright (Kathy) of Prairie City; her siblings, Bill Hinds, Mary Bowne, Tim Hinds (Jean), Annie Schihl (Berry), Mike Hinds (Dana), Dan Hinds, Greg Hinds and Kathy Shillinger; her grandchildren, Timothy Nelson (Amber), Nicole Johnson, Stephanie Schemenauer (Laramie), April Bogus and Samantha Bogus; and her great grandchildren, Derik, River, Gunnar, Dalhia, Shae, Harper, Scarlette, Lillyan, Lilaha, Emily, Connor, Mitch and Sarah.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The American Heart Association and or The American Cancer Association.
