We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2018 we had to say goodbye to Eugene Byrd (Homeland, Florida), born in Chancellor, Alabama. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Byrd and Irma Byrd; his brothers, Robert Byrd, Harold Byrd and Wayne Byrd; and his friend Ted Mathis.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen (Wimberley) of Homeland; his children, Susan Byrd of Clearwater, David Byrd (Melissa) of Bartow, Jonathan Byrd (Shannon) of Bartow and Chris Miller of Lakeland; his siblings, Myra Tomlinson of Holopaw and Kenneth Byrd (Melvin) of Panama Beach; his cousin Collis Lunsford (Mary) of Alturas; and his friend Marilyn Mathis (Ted) of Bartow. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
It is the family wish, that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church, food program.
