He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence K. Franzmathes and Cecelia T Franzmathes (Bergman). He is survived by: his sons, Richard and Robert (Jaime); his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Abigail, Benjamin and Lucas; his brother Charles (Paula); his brother-in-law Greg Millert (Linda); and his close friend Millie Broussard.
