He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Hilda Joyner; his parents, Eunice Joyner and Thelma Joyner; and his siblings, John Joyner, Walter Joyner, Myrtle Nelson, Joseph Joyner (Billy) and Mary Pierce.
He is survived by: his children, Lynn Joyner of Waycross, Georgia and Benny H. Joyner. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
