She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillie Mae and Ruel Hugh Sherrod; her husband Grant Hester; and her cousin Katherine Lanier. She is survived by: her son Tim Hester (Lisa); her stepgrandchildren, Ashley Boyd (Bobby) and Rob Mercer (Kristin); her stepgreat-granddaughter Courtney Roberts (Marcus); and her great grandchild Cooper Hugh Roberts.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar Allen and Allen Funeral Home (110 W Hansell St, Thomasville, GA 31792). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calendar Allen & Allen Funeral Home (110 W Hansell St, Thomasville, GA 31792). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Riverside Memorial Park (7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205).
In lieu of flowers, Bettie asked that donations be made to Kenneth Copeland Ministries.
