It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglass Stewart Bell (Jacksonville, Florida), who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Douglass Stewart farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Douglass Stewart is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Bell and Betty Bell; and his wife Barbara. He is survived by : his daughters, Melissa Frankie and Jennifer VanZandt (Nick); his grandchildren, Bailey Frankie, Nicholas VanZandt, Joey Frankie and Xander VanZandt; and his brother Gus Bell (Judy). He is also survived by sister-in law, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and numerous extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Southside Methodist Church at 3120 Hendricks Ave, Jacksonville, Florida 32207.
