He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Hippensteal and Anna Hippensteal (Melcher); and his siblings, Paul, Harry, John, Robert, Doris, Anne, Theetta and Nancy.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Hippensteal (Logsdon); and his daughters, Heidi Walton of Jacksonville, FL and Jill Chuss (Todd) of Perkiomenville, PA.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
