He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Thurston and Virginia Ward; and his son Charles Thurston. He is survived by: his wife Linda Thurston; his son Thomas E. Thurston; his siblings, Bill Thurston, Bucky Ward, Earlene Thurston and Loretta Thurston; his stepfather Brady Ward; his stepchildren, Laura, David, Shawn and Nick; and his grandchildren, Charles Thurston and Abigale Thurston. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
