She was predeceased by: her husband Maurice "Kirk" Kirkland; her parents, Walter Wilkens and Virgie O'Leary Wilkens; her sister Violet Wilkens; her stepdaughter Daurice "Dee" Pope; her son-in-law Windell Pope; and her grandson Ronnie Hayden.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Robby Polk (Rachelle) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Dawn Cothron (Joe) of Callahan, FL and Vince D'Antoni (Donna) of Palm Coast, FL; her great grandchildren, Jessica "Nikki" Koci (Roland), Lauren D'Antoni, Casey, Kelly Polk, James Campbell (Haley) and Erin D'Antoni; her great great grandchildren, Alec Koci and Madison Whaley (Campbell); Dawn. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
