He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joyce; his children, David Shackley (Mimi) and Deanna Fantin (David); his mother Opal Shackley; his mother-in-law Jeannine Wickles; his grandchildren, Jeff Shackley, Ali Fuller (Jon), Kyle Shackley and Jaden Fantin; his great grandchildren, Audrina and Myles Fuller; his siblings-in-law, Milt Wickles (Nicki), Larry Wickles and Louise Wickles; his close friend Abbie; his father Robert Brooks Shackley, Sr.; his father-in-law Milton Wickles, Sr.; his brothers, Robert Shackley, Jr. (Mary Lou) and Steven Shackley, Sr. (Linda); his brother-in-law Dan Wickles; and his nephew Brian Shackley. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
