He was predeceased by: his aunt Marie Pepe. He is survived by: his wife Maria Jean LaMonte; his children, Joseph LaMonte, Jr. (Patricia), Anthony LaMonte (Kendra) and Lisa Chamberlain (Howard); his grandchildren, Anthony, Victoria, Nicholas, Joseph III, Michael, Jack and Ella; his sister Angela Stiefel; and his sibling's children, Michael, Gregory Stiefel (Kim) and Theresa Kennedy (Leos).

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or the American Heart Association.
