He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Evaline and Alvin; his former wife Rita Herk; his daughters, Amy Herk (Mauro Cipolat-Gotet) and Andia Dinesen (Ian); his granddaughters, McKenzie Dinesen, Mina Dinesen and Andia Cipolat-Gotet; and his brothers, Rodney Herk (Praphatsorn) and Darrell Herk (Casey).
