He was predeceased by: his mother Cherie E. Witkus of St. Cloud, Florida; his stepfather Charles Witkus of St. Cloud, Florida; his father Lawrence S Poole, Sr. of Dedham, Massachusetts; his grandmother Ersilia Kendrick of Massachusetts; and his cousin Brian Sjostedt of Raleigh.

He is survived by: his wife Melanie Poole of Kissimmee, Florida; his daughters, Stephanie A. Thomas of Orlando and Amber Rose C. Poole of Kissimmee, Florida; his granddaughters, Jaeda R. Thomas of Orlando, Florida and Adriana R. Thomas of Orlando, Florida; and his brothers, Jason Poole of Kissimmee and David Poole. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel at Conrad and Thompson Funeral Home (511 W Emmett St, Kissimmee, FL 34741).

As well as flowers, Steven would have loved donations to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Here is a link to their donation page.

“Steve is unforgettable. It was a blessing to know him. His sense of humor was universal. He could make anyone laugh. He never had an unkind word for anyone. He always brought joy wherever he went. He was a very good friend of my brother’s for years when he lived in Massachusetts. Everyone who knew Steve loved him. We are so sorry for your loss.
